How to do research for a Travel Hobby Niche before starting your FB Ads

In this short post, i will outline the steps that i usually take when i want to start a FB Ad campaign not only for the Travel niche but sometimes for Amazon products niches.
I chose this niche : surfing randomly and it took me about 90mins to come up with my research from Google while i was in Starbucks Today.
Here are the steps :
1-Destinations of that Hobby
2-My Targeting Audience(s)
3-Ad Copy/Imagery
4-Winner Ad
5-Scaling up the Campaign
before i start, i just want to mention that the purpose of my first Ad(s) is to find my winner Ad using a small audience from my research. i can use any budget from $5-$40.....
When i find my winner Ad, i can easily duplicate that Ad with similar audiences using :
1- Magazines/Celebrities (Athletes)
2-similar locations
3-LookaLike audiences

For the Surfing niche, After doing some research, i found this authority site :surfertoday.com . It has almost everything that we need about our niche (Locations, equipment, guides.....)
I found it via a search query in Google : "best surf spots in ...."
It has many destinations for surfing around the world and since my first campaign is only for testing, i don't want to burn my Money and my energy with a huge audience size without testing...
After some thinking, i decided to focus only about the west coast (California) as a starting point but i will decide later when i see my audience size in Step 3.
if the audience size is small, i can focus on all the US or only specific regions.
Again, i am not talking here about my Audience locations (where they live) and i am talking about where they will go to book their hotels to enjoy their hobbies.
For the California surf spots, i found those locations :
1-Santa cruz, CA
2-Malibu california
3-huntington beach ca
4-newport beach ca
5-Ventura ca
6-San Diego ca
I chose only 6 locations to put them nicely in my landing page boxes. But you can add many destinations if you want.
Now, when i am done with the step 1, i will go and spy on my Audiences.
What they like, what they read, what they talk, what problems are they facing when they are surfing and how old are they ?......
2-My Targeting Audience(s)

For this step, i like to use Google to find 1-2 authority sites to find their problems and what they talk about.
For the Ages and the interests, i like to use Facebook Insight Tool to see the ages and what fan pages they like.
After doing some research again , i found that below are the common problems that they face when choosing the right spot:
1-warm/cold water
2-waves (lighter, mellow)
3-Budget hotels....
4-many more but i will build my Ad copy based on the 3 points above.
To Begin my Test, i will always choose Magazines to see the effectiveness of my Ad copy and imagery since i already have a targeted audience who loves their hobby and pays a subscription fee for it (not all but a portion of them).
After some digging, i found this mag: Surfermag.com .
You can find anything about your niche there. Problems/Solutions/Gears/Destinations/Tips.........to make you look like a pro in front of their eyes.
using the FB spying tool:
1-I decided to target men only as a starting point (Again i am only testing my ads here, i can target later women who are pro-athletes)..
2-Ages : 25-34 35-44
3-To scale my campaign up with different audiences after finding the winner Ad, i can target those targets :
1-CARVE Surfing Magazine ,Surfing World Magazine, Wavelength Magazine
2-Athles: Kelly Slater , Rob Machado, John John Florence, Jordy Smith, Taj burrow
3-Ad Copy/Imagery

For the Ad Copy, i use formulas to make it easy for me to write Ads fast. problem/solution/benefits
I use the same formula that our friend Jitendra Jain mentioned last time in one of his great posts but mixed with some tweaks to fit my niche and market.
I use sometimes Google to see what other big companies like expedia/Booking.com in this case (since we are talking about travel niche) are using in their Ad copy in Adwords.
In this example, i will use something like :
Headline: Get Your Dream Surf Spots Vacation for Cheap.
Text Above Image : Love Surfing ? Start planning your trip today! Discover those Great Destinations for Surfing that Give
Surfers of all levels a good Ride.
Text below Image: Enjoy Mellow Waves and Warm Water. Don't spend hours looking for the best hotel deal near Your Surf

You can use 1-2 to test your ad copy....
Imagery:

In this niche, the images are everything. You need to search and find images that have high pins/likes/comments...
you can use pinterest or visit the fan pages of the authority sites and see what they postt and what kind of images they use.
4-Winner Ad

When creating my Ad, i always target 1 interest unless my audience size is small then i add 2-3 interests similar to my starting point audience.
For the Adset, i can choose 1-3 groups based on the age
For the Ads, i can choose 1-3 images.
I like to start with CPM for a small audience below 50K to have a fast results if my Ad is OK or no. If i have a big budget, i can test CPM/CPC both of them.
5-Scaling up the Campaign :

When i have a winner Ad (in terms of clicks and CTR and leads), i can choose the same images and the Ad copy and duplicate the process with the other audiences in the step 2 (Magazines, Athletes, other group ages.......)
With my FB Ad, i can create an audience of similar people who landed on my landing page using an option called : LookaLike Audience.
There, you have it.
Again, the first Ad is always for testing. you can hit the home run from the first try but it is always about Testing .

Travel niche website


I have some ideas on how to make money with Mohammed EL KhiyatiTravel Niche Website using Facebook.
Step 1 : You need the Travel niche website. (http://profitstravel.com/)
Once you have the website, you need people who are interested in travelling to visit your website. The site claims that The average you can expect to make with this website is $1 – $4 per visitor. So you need 100 visitors to make $100. Assuming 10% of stated fact, you need 1000 visitors who are interested in travelling to visit your website.
Everyone loves travelling, We drool over those amazing pics of places to travel before you die.
Step 2 : Make a general travel page. Now find 1000 location in World (hint : 1000 places to see before you die book). Find 10 images of each location, and update the page 10 times in a day.
References : (Study these pages for their frequency of update, images, likes, shares, comments)
Step 3 : Run Facebook Ads for page likes and reach a critical mass of 10000.
Step 4 : Update your website's blog with 10 facts about each place.
Step 5 : Between 10 post , put some good viral post, directing to your website. Example :https://www.facebook.com/placestosee/posts/1024496617587639 (Look at Engagement).
A single post can send tons of traffic to your page. When people come to your page, they will search as well.
Step 6: Use Proper Call to actions on the website to encourage them to check hotel prices. (in Subtle ways, keep rules in mind)
Step 7 : Post that goes viral, boost them for more virality, reach.
Step 8 : Rinse and Repeat.

In this short post, i will show you how to put one foot in the door to close deals with your local shops who are struggling to drive traffic and leads via internet.

For $10, You can run those Ads and bring leads/Sales for those shops and after that sign up a contact with them for $500 and up (It depends of the niches: Dentists, Plastic surgery, Spa, Hairdressers, mechanics, Flowers Shop, Moving Companies, Auto-Schools.Gyms....Ballet Dancing school,.... )
the Idea here is : to Call first with a strong script (highly converting) to the prospect and offer them your service for Free and with your own Money ($10)...
I will not go in details again but you need to talk about leads and ROI with them... They don't know if you know FB pixel or custom audiences or other blabla...those business owners know only Money and ROI.....
For a CPM of $5 max/1000 and highly HD image with a discount of 20% and Free Shipping, you can land many leads for Him/her..
You need only to track those leads via a phone....
How to Find them:

1-Go to Yellowpage, Superpages, white pages....Google Local and collect the businesses who are paying google or other directories for private listing.... call them (talk to the manager or the business owner directly)

In This post, i will try to explain the travel niche affiliate model and how to use it with FB Ads without use the classic methods of travel targeting:
In this example, we used a Hobby + Destinations Method. 

Why : to target only the fans of that Hobby and offer them Travel deals to enjoy their hobby far away from their routines....

With the Travel niche package that i am offering, the user does not need to book in order to get credit but he has to do the steps below :
1- Search for a destination
2- Click on an hotel in that destination
3- the system will display the lists of providers that have that hotel (sometimes there are up to 10 and sometimes only 1....)
4-if he clicks on any one of those links, you will get a credit up to $1-$2....it depends of your traffic...
But with Fb Ads, after doing your homework of course, you can send them to that destination based on their hobbies so they can go to the step 2 or 3 directly using your landing page....so it can be easy for you to reach Step 3-4...
With this case study, we chose a niche for those who like White water rafting and they want to enjoy a break in Colorado river with Family.....
The Campaign had 3 adsset and 3 images for each Adsets
1-Ad set 1: Water rafting for Family with kids
2-Ad set 2: Water rafting for couples
3-Ad set 3: water rafting for Pro
I will not show you all the images but only the 1 Ad set.
We ran the campaign for 5 days and we targeted people who like :
- Water rafting , kayak, River rafting magazines.....
for the Ad copy, we played with the Budget factor to save Money and Enjoy the nature at the same time.....
The result was : $412.50 for a $135 Ad budget.......
Now, i want you to open your mind and target not only USA but you can target as well people from your country with a specific hobbies and locations...
I will put a list of hobbies that matches with the travel niche but i will not put all of them here in public of course.

Short Tip # 3 - amazon niche research

Rather, today found a niche, "A". Now, the "A" for at least 7 days of the study.
No related Wikipedia pages to see if there is, if you read the whole article. Nothing much seems to be unknown, each note unknown subject, this time about the idea of ​​it.

[Case Study] For Polar EXpress and Thomas & Friends Trains


n this case study, i will show you how to target people who love some hobbies and how to cash on that...
A client of mine has a niche website targeting trains models, flight models, cars models and some mini-figures and other things related to that...
he created many campaigns and one of them was about Polar EXpress Trains before 20 days from the Christmas...
I will not go in details but here is what he targeted for 1 ADs set:
Audience 1 :
Gender : Female
Age: 25-45 (we combined 25-34 & 35-45 because the audience size was low)
Interests : Polar Express fans, Thomas & friends fans and Bachmann fans
Ad copy : it was a mix of a question + gain + urgency..
For $40 for this Campaign, he got 15 sales for a gross of $1875 and $121 commission....
For the other campaigns, he targeted other brands with less and much success .....
Tip of the day : if you have a niche site with a lot products, Don't target the niche but target those products and their brands.... whether with SEO or PPc Ads...

How to turn $45 to $136 from one tiny group in untapped niche ?


There are plenty of niches and sub-niches...Just open your eyes and think out of the box...
This case was a Test to validate the market before a client of mine jumped on a Dropshipping program for that niche..
She has a custom well designed website (i will clone it for you Guys soon) and she is the business of the baby clothing for a quite of time now...
She did not choose the broad niche but she tried a sub-niche inside it :
Twins and triples babies clothing.......
Tip: I did some research and i found a lot of needs for Guide : how to raise twins/Triples babies and all that stuff....so open your eyes and think out of the box.. there are more rooms for that not only clothing....
I will not go in details but the main problem was : how to target only moms who have twins babies since Facebook only allows us to search for parents who have : toddles, kids, teens and so on....
After some research, we targeted moms who have babies for example (0-1year old) and like some twins magazines and a lot related stuff of that..
we divided the campaign into 4 interests with 2 groups 24-35 and 35-45
and the winning audiences were 3 interests : one of them is a very response community called : twiniversity.com .
I will not reveal the other 3 for obvious reasons.
After spending $45 , we killed the campaign because the audience was around 33k and the frequency started to increase..
She got $2100 sales for 50 items with $136 commissions and $45 budget.
With her new program (dropshipping in US ), she will get like 60% margin profit better than Amazon plus full control of her traffic from FB Ads to the checkout page and more incentives like coupons %20 for her traffic..
so Go ahead. Think of out of the box and Make Money..



SEO CASE STUDY” – 5820 Visitors in 2 Months from One Article


While Mohammed EL Khiyati Talk about FB MKG, and others talk about niche marketing and how to build a successful Amazon Niche sites, I love to share my little knowledge about SEO and how to generate valuable free traffic from Search engines the easy way; so I hope you will found it Valuable, and benefits from it.

So today I would like to share with you a very quick [SEO Case Study] but very effective and it will give you an amazing results in getting free organic traffic from Google if you do it the right way.

Let’s start the party:
I Choose 4 keywords from “Google Keywords planner”, Related to my Niche, search of 720 to 900 a month, Keyword competition KC of all this 4 KWs was 24 to 30 (I use Long tail pro).

And here is what I do with them:

A-The first 3 KWs: I write 3 articles (One for each KW)

All this 3 articles was 100% original, give huge value to reader, and have a length of 600 to 700 words, also each article have the KW in title, first paragraph, In ALT of the Post Photo that I always put under the first paragraph (I use canva.com for made all photos, it is free and fun), last paragraph also contain the kw, in H2, in meta description, and 2 or 3 times in the text of the article.

No backlinks was made, so after 2 months, all this 3 articles make their way to the 2 page of Google and stay there, I receive a few visitors a day <10 visitor for each article.

B-The KW number 4:
I treat the kw number 4 little different, I give it more luck, more chance to makes its way to the firsts result of SERP (search engine result page), So I put it in “Google keyword planner” again, and search for All keywords that are 100% related to it, contain synonyms, different order of words, and so on, but have a low search volume (example 500, or 340 or 120 and…I don’t pick a kw that have a search volume of 90 and low, only if it is 100% buying keyword).

I found 6 KWs that looks different than the main one, have different search volume, but they mean same thing as the main KW, you can say that they are different doors for the same Room.

Example:
Main Kw: iPhone 6 vs Samsung s6 (it is just an example, close to mine, and I am not in the smartphone niche).

Related Kws:
iPhone 6 vs Samsung 6s
Samsung s6 vs IPhone 6
IPhone 6 Or Samsung s6
Best Smartphone IPhone 6 or Samsung s6
iPhone 6 vs galaxy s6
IPhone 6 vs Samsung s6 video quality


So as you see all this KWs can be searched by someone that try to figure out if IPhone 6 or Samsung 6s are the best smartphone for his/her money.

I include all this kw in my article (article number 4), the most important one that have big search volume in the top, and the weak one, at the bottom, I use some kw as H2 and write a small paragraph (it is good to include the kw in this paragraph, and in ALT of the photo is you need to use one).

The result was Amazing, so after 2 months the article jump to the first page of Google, I receive 5820 visitors from Google, and I get some social shares and some sales.

Conclusion
this is my conclusion about what happen, maybe I am right and maybe I am wrong, so I hope to hear your conclusion in the comment.
So we all target high search volume Kws because we want more traffic and more sales, this mean more money, but the truth is, we will never rank for that kws unless we waited for months and maybe years, or build a ton of kws around this page.
In the other hand, if you target the high search volume Kw and add to it other related kws that have low search volume, you can high your chance to rank in first page of SERP, it is like you give Google lot of choices, and he can’t said NO for all you Kws so at less he rank one or two from them, or maybe this Related kws help search engines to better understand your article, and put it in the desired Position.
any way Rise your chances to get traffic by targeting some more related kws that have a low search volume, they will help you to structure your article, make it valuable, answer all asked question about the topic (around main kw) this mean your reader will get their answers and another answers that they don’t ask about them, also this huge quality quantity of content help the reader to make a buying decision, and click the share button.

How to Turn $30 into $120 using FB Ads and Amazon (Case Study)



In this Case study , i wanted to show how to target one of the most popular niche in internet : Baby Safety niche and how to dig deeper to find many sub-niches..
The product was : Baby Monitors . but since there are many brands involved in this niche, we chose to use the Savings/Discount Trigger and send our audience to the best sellers Amazon page for that niche and let them choose what they want..
Audience Target :

--Age : 25-34 based on our spying tool

27 moms bought monitors plus some accessories related to that.
With $30 budget for 2-3days, we got a $122 return with 1 group and 3 audiences....Time to scale it up to other states and then promote to the existing ones with other offers related the baby niche (FB custom audience Pixel)
